Super psyched to have my silhouette spots in the first issue of this year's New Yorker! After having been a contributor to the magazine for almost five years now, I am very, very happy to have reached this personal milestone. Thanks very much, Jordan!

These are a bunch of fashion-related people I drew for the Opening Ceremony Tenth Anniversary book that Rizzoli just put out. The book looks great, you can check it out here. Thanks to Sue and Rory for getting me to do these.

Oh, how delicious. Here's a turkey I drew for the back page of the new issue of The Believer. Even more Midnight Snacks in the next issue, I think.

Here are a bunch of spots I did for the new issue of The Baffler, to accompany a piece called Daniel's Dictionary by Daniel Aaron. I really had a lot of fun drawing these, and was happy to be included alongside some of my favorite illustrators, including Brad Holland, Steve Brodner and P.S. Mueller. So cool! Thanks, Patrick!

These are a few drawings I did for a set of articles on today's Op-Ed page in the NY Times. Read the articles here and here. I am always really psyched drawing spots for the page and am happy the AD went with that idea. Thanks, Matt!

Here are some pieces I did for the new issue of Port magazine, about the Pioneer 10 space probe, the way the brain works, and po'boys. There is also an interview with David Remnick in the issue, and I think it is the first magazine interview he's done, which is pretty cool. Thanks to Kuchar for the great assignment!

Here are three drawings of film stars for February's issue of The Believer. Robert Ryan in Crossfire, Loretta Young in Rachel and the Stranger, and Kirk Douglas in Out of the Past. The issue has a really cool comics section, including a funny one by Lisa Hanawalt, and awesome little drawings throughout the issue by Charles Burns, Tony Millionare and, oh yeah, cool guy Jason Polan.

These are a few of the spots I did for the Winter issue of Maisonneuve, about tourism in Canada. I've only been to Montreal, but don't worry, it isn't as dangerous as it looks in these drawings! Click on them to enlarge

These are some spots I did for today's Op-Ed page in The New York Times, about the ease of planning a terror attack and the difficulty of catching a local terrorist. I always love drawing spots, so I'm glad the Art Director went with this idea; thanks Aviva! You can read the article here.

This is a drawing from a series of spots about the Queen's visit to Canada, for Maisonneuve, a really great Montreal based magazine. And if you are up there tomorrow (Sep 21), go by the Drawn & Quarterly store at 7; there is a launch party for Issue 37, with these drawings and tons of other great writing and illustration and photography and everything that makes reading a magazine engaging. I've been doing the spots for the past couple of issues, and it is great to work with such an enjoyable magazine.
